September Ipsy Bag

OMG I just had the most intense week ever.... Had quizzes on Mon and Tues, midterms-Wed, Thurs, Fri. Physician Assistant school is no joke! I miss reviewing as often like I use to but I do enjoy even the day a week that I can write up as its my little break from all the studying! Anyways today I want to show you what I got in this months IPSY bag.

This month's theme is Classic Beauty. First off I absolutely love the color combination gorgeous!!!

The first three products I got was:

1.  Elizabeth Mott It's so big Volumizing Mascara- You can never have enough mascara! 

2. Nyx Single Eye Shadow - Cute color its a dark char

3. J Cat Beauty Fantabulous Lipstick- Pretty color! Wonder how it will look on my skintone

4. Starlooks Kohl Eye liner- I tested on my arm and it looked like it would be nice. Then I tried it on my eye and it didn't come out dark. Sad face!

 4. Freeman Beauty Facial Brightening Paper Mask- This look funs! I have never tried a paper mask and just the scents sound like their are amazing

I was about to try the lipstick color and this happened! So sad! Did any of this happen to you guys? Maybe I just got a bad one..

Overall, loved the bag: the design and the color combination. I will def try out the paper face mask and mascara for sure. Prob won't use the lipstick and liner bc they didn't work for me. Overall, not bad. Hope we get some more good stuff next month!

August IPSY Bag

I am busy busy busy with school so little things like beauty subscriptions make me so happy bc I get to feel like a normal human being for like 5 minutes. Never thought being a physician assistant student would be so hard but it really is all they say it is. I feel like I have no time in the day for anything. But back to me what I am writing about...this month's theme is Glamour academy. 

Here is the bag we got this... how perfect for me I am going back to school so this theme is perfect. Love the bag and the colors and how well they go together. 

Let's see what I got this month....

1.  Pacifica Alight Multi mineral BB Cream- I have tried the creams and fragrances from this company and they are amazing so can't wait to try this.

2. Micheal Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub - The name sounds amazing!

3. City Colour Cheek stain- Pretty color! Can't wait to try.

 4. Noya Lip Balm-  I am not a big fan of vanilla so we will see if I try it 

 5. Pixi Lash Boost Mascara -excited to try this and love that its the blackest black color too!

Overall, loved the bag and loved the products I got. I def will be trying more than half of the stuff I got! Maybe I will find some new favorite products. Can't wait to see what I get next month!!

July 2013 Ipsy Bag

It's Beauty subscription time! Since its summer this months theme was Beach Beauty!  The bag we got this month was a transparent bright pink color !! 

So let's see what I got this month!!

1.  Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Resistant Spray- This would have been nice in Dallas but I can't wait to try it

2. BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow Sample - What a perfect surprise for my move back to California. Love the theme and can't wait to try the colors

3. Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Coral Crush- Pretty color! Can't wait to try.

 4. Coola Mineral Face SPF 20-Never heard of mineral foundation so lets see how it works!

 5. derma a Microdermabrasion Scrub -Always wanted to try a microdermabrasion scrub so yay for this!

Something I was sad to see was my bag was already falling apart. And I wasn't really fond of the bag looked kind of cheapy if you ask me. They have had some amazing bags before and basically this was not one of them. 

Overall, while I was not fond of the bag itself I do enjoy the products I got! I will def be trying each product and if I had to choose between a not good bag and good products I would choose good products hands down! Can't wait to see what I get next month!!

June 2013 Ipsy Bag

Woo hoo its beauty subscription time! This month I got my regular subscription, Ipsy and I am trying another one which I review later this week. Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription I have been getting for over a year. Every month is a new theme and you not only get a new designed bag every month but you also get 4-5 products in it! It is by far the best of the beauty subscriptions I have tried!

So let's get to it!

This month's theme is "On the wild side" so it made me think of wild animals like tigers, lions, and such.


This is the bag we got this month! Now I am usually not a cheetah print fan but the neon yellow stripe in this bag just takes it to another level! This months and last months bag have def been the best ones yet so I hope they keep the person designing the bags bc they are doing a great job!!!

You guys in suspense wondering what I got this month?? Good!!!

Inside my bag this month..

1.  Freeman Beauty Psst Dry Shampoo-Excited to try a dry shampoo. It is always convenient on those lazy days when you just don't feel like washing your hair

2. Cailyn Cosmetics Gel eye liner in purple-When I went to IMATs this year I was dying to try this brand but it was $20 and I was on a budget. So I am so excited we got a free full size one! Purple isn't the usual color I use but if I like it that much I will get it in black

3. NYX Blush in orange-Surprisingly this blush is very pigmented. You only need a little for your look

 4. J. Cat Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette in suzie-This is way too glittery for me. Wish it had some matte colors as well. Prob won't use this.

 4. Starlooks Lip pencil in Tickle me pink-I don't really use lip liner so I probably won't use this either

Overall, love my bag this month! I will def use the blush, dry shampoo and eye liner but not the cream palette or lip liner. So def not bad that I like 3/5 stuff. Can't always like everything. Love the sizes of the products and the fact that they aren't teeny weeny little samples. Ipsy always surprises me and I love that! I always feel I get my $10 dollars worth for sure!!

May 2013 Ipsy Bag

Woo hoo! It's Beauty subscription time! This month's theme was spring fling!

This is the bag that we got this month! Let me just say this is def my favorite bag I have gotten in the year I've been subscribed to Ipsy. Love the colors and love love love the design. 

But....

What did I get inside? That is the most important questions??

Inside my bag this month..

1.  Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Perfume-Love that it is a pretty good size perfume not the little itsy bitzy one's you get from other beauty subscriptions. But I am not a big fan of the scent itself. Kinda smell like a candle or cleaner. 

2. Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment I am a huge fan of Macadamia Natural Oil products so I can't wait to try this out

3. Zoya Nail Polish in Gie Gie-Zoya is def one of my favorite nail polish brands and pink is my favorite color so yeah loving the color I got.

 4. Juice Beauty Lip Gloss in fig-The consistency is nice. The color is a nice and natural color but not a fan of shimmer in lip gloss. If it didn't have the shimmer I would prob use it. 

 4. Yaby Eyeshadow or concealer in Vanilla-It is def bigger than the bite size eyeshadows we got in an older bag. Not sure if it is a creme eyeshadow base or concealer. It doesn't say what it is on the item itself or on the flyer we get?

Overall, I hope we get more fun designed bags like this instead it was a beautiful color and design. I love Zoya and Macadamia products so I will def use them! Loved the size of the perfume but which it was something else. Wasn't a big fan of the scent. Also the lip gloss was too shimmery for me but the consistency was nice and light. And finally the Yaby product was okay. I wish they got newer brands bc we have had Juice beauty and Yaby products before. I think they need to start branching out for new makeup companies. But again that is my personal opinion.

April Ipsy Bag

This month I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get the originally intended theme bag. Pretty in Pink was this month's theme and as my favorite color is pink I was soooooo excited to get a pink bag. The bag was either beige or white with a pink strip on the top.

Well when I opened my envelope I saw

this one instead..

I can't remember what month this bag was but it was one. According to the note some bags didn't meet Ipsy's standards so they will send it to us with next months bag. No problem but when I opened this bag to see what I got it smelled really nasty like chemical. Not sure why these passed their standards?? Probably will toss this one out bc I just checked today 3-4 days after I got the bag and it still stinks.

So ready to see what I got in my bag? Okay!!

Inside my bag this month..

1.  Be a Bomshell Cosmetics Beach Please Blush-First off big fan of the name lol! It is a very pigmented pink color so you only need a little trust me =)

2.Mica Beauty Cosmetics Earth Shimmer Powder I am not a big fan of shimmer but it goes on smooth and is fairly pigmented as well

3. Sation Nail Polish in Of Corsethh I'll Call you-This polish is a baby soft pink. It actually might look good on my skin tone but I haven't got the chance to swatch it yet

 4. Healthy Sexy Hair Nourishing Styling Treatment-I could always use something to help with my frizz. Can't wait to try it.

Overall, I am happy they will still send everyone who didn't get the correct bag one next month. Was not happy with the smell of that floral bag. Would of loved to give it to a friend but it just stinks. Oh well! I liked the blush and nail polish, can't wait to try the hair product and probably won't use the shimmer powder. Overall I am satisfied with this months bag.

March Ipsy Bag

Evening all! Today I will be showing you what I got in the March Myglam bag.

The theme this month is Great Escapes which I am sure is saying see ya winter and hello spring and summer.


The bag we got reminds me of the beach and I love it! It is a navy blue and shite striped bag with anchors on it! I really like the design and it beats the solid colors we have been getting lately!

Inside my bag this month..

1.  Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist-Def not a fan of the smell. I was expecting something light and refreshing but it is far from that. Does give you that refreshing feeling though but yeah would have liked a better scent

2. La Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes They are nice and light. I heard people saying it burned there skin but I had no issues.

3. Yaby Eyeshadow Refill-When I tell you these are teeny tiny shadows they really small like smaller than a dime small.

 4. Glam RX Mini FreeStyle Palette Shadow Palette Sample-I mean a mirror is always nice but I don't see a point in this. Its kind of cheapy and yeah I dont know what I will do with it.

Overall, it has been a long time since I have been disappointed with the Myglam bag and yeah this stunk! I probably won't ever use the juice beauty product, the eyeshadows are too tiny, the glam RX box is too cheapy and the makeup remover wipes are probably the only thing I will use. What happened MyGlam??

March Nail Art Society Bag

Here it is the March Nail Art Society Box. Not really sure if there was a theme but it def included a lot of decals.

One thing I do appreciate about each month's bag is that they give you ideas on how to make looks with the things you receive in the bag.

Here is what I got in this months box: Some nail polish strips. They are black and white stripes. Not a big fan of strips but thats okay.

Here is the other things I got: little orange circle decals, caviar beads, like 10 orange circles and flowers.

Personally I am not a fan of the flowers, oranges or orange decals as I just don't feel like they would stay on my hands long enough and my top coat will look ugly with a thick coat over the items. Caviar beads are not bad in fact they look cute on an accent finger but again they won't stay on too long bc you aren't supposed to put a top coat over them.

I am extremely disappointed in this Month's bag as I was last month but probably worse here. Honestly the cost of all the stuff in this bag is probably like $2. I feel its def not even worth $10 let alone $20 which is what most pay for this months bag.  In the last two months bag I have gotten nothing that even remotely comes close to great. I also really don't like how they have pictures of nice nail brands like Butter London and Deborah Lippmann polishes when the only polish I have gotten is Finger Paints. Completely dissatisfied and I already cancelled my subscription to try another beauty subscription! So onto the bigger and better things hopefully!

Feb Ipsy Bag

I am super late on my Ipsy review I know...super busy with school and work! But better late than never right?

This months theme was Get Red Carpet ready. The bag was black this month. I def noticed a little new bag smell more on this bag then I ever had in others. Not too fond of that but hey I care more about the products inside..so lets see what I got

In my bag this month..

1.  Pixi Beauty Flawless and Poreless Primer-I am def always looking for new and better primers. This one is not too greasy and so far so good

2. Mica Beauty Cosmetics Black Gel Liner I absolutely love gel liner but haven't gotten the chance to use this yet

3, Pop Beauty Smokey Lash Mascara-Pretty impressed with this mascara so far. Good lengthener for sure.

4. Coastal Scents Shadow Palette Sample-I have always been a Coastal Scents advocate. Amazing product for an even more amazing price!

5. Lash Card   This was the only product I was a little iffy on. Honestly don't need them. I am pretty good at so i prob won't be using this.

Overall, I would rate this months bag as a 9 out of 10 since I def will use 4/5 products. You can never go wrong with trying new mascaras, eye liner, eyeshadows and primers so yeah def loving this month! couldn't have asked for more great types of products to try!! I honestly love ipsy. Best beauty subscription EVER!!

Nail Art Society Feb Box

Here it is my very first Nail Art Society Box.

 Ready to see what I got?


Each month you get a little card with different ways to use the products you receive. I really like this idea bc I am one of those people who can't even draw a stick figure so you can only imagine how my nail art would look right lol! On the back it gives step by step instructions on how to create one of the looks! Def a great idea! 

Here is a shot of everything that was included in this box.

The first thing in the box is nail art stickers to place on your nails. Its really hard to tell but I think there flowers?? Not really sure. And price wise I guess this is like what 0.50 maybe?

Another item in this box is a heart buffer (0.50 ??). Def fits the valentines day theme. The nail polish included in this box is Finger paints Art you kidding me a bright pink color ($4.29)
Also offered is the chain nail decoration ($2). This is pretty cool but as I am not very creative I am wondering if I have the patience to create a design with this?

The last thing that was is Love confetti (0.25). Yeah I don't really think I will use this either. Seems like too much work.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my first Nail Art Society box. While I was lucky to get the $9.95 subscription I def do not think its worth $20 the regular subscription box let alone $10. To me I would like things like a dotter, nail art pens, some cool designs and I did not get that in this box. I will give them one more month to step it up and if they don't I will prob cancel. Sad, I really wanted to like this Beauty subscription.

The questionaire took a good 15 minutes bc it was very specific so Wantable.co is def the most customer specific requested one I have tried!

It's beauty Subscription time and today is the last month I will only get one! Yippy skippy I joined Nail art society and can't wait to see what I get next month.

1.  Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter-Pacifica smells amazing! This will be in my little work bag for when my hands are dry!

2. Nailtini in Frappe So excited to get another polish. Love the natural/nude color for the winter

3, Josie Marin 100% Argan Oil- I need to get back to my skincare regimen to help my dry skin thanks to the winter.

4. Sexy Hair Hair Spray-I have always wanted to try this! Def can't wait to try it and do some cool hairstyles I've been meaning to try!

5. London Soho New York  Crease brush- You can never go wrong with another brush! I know I love it!

And for getting my brother's girlfriend a subscription for Christmas I got an extra special gift this month...a Laura Mercier Eye Colour Stick in Plum

Shadow can roll out easy on your skin and you simply twist to make more shadow come out.

When I say the pigment on this shadow is amazing I mean it! It came out so smooth, amazing color and all in one swipe!

Overall, I would rate this months bag as a 8 out of 10. Although there wasn't all makeup products I def still like the products I got this month. MyGlam my new favorite beauty subscriptions now! Go MyGlam!!!
