MyChelle Dermaceuticals

It's going to start getting hot soon here in Texas and there's nothing I hate more than feeling sticky and nasty. MyChelle Dermacenticals recently released their new Pure Harmony Colletion consisting of natural ingredients for sensitive skin.I got the chance to review two products in their new collection.

IMG_3271
The first product is the Pure Harmony Mist and the Serum.

IMG_3272
The Pure Harmony Mist was something I wanted to try bc I think it would help refreshen my face after sweating all day. Containing several skin enhancing nutrients, the mist made my skin feel very refreshed. It didn't have a nasty smell or sweet smell it was a perfect light scent. It did make my face feel a little sticky right after but it wasn't uncomfortable sticky like I only felt it when I touched my cheeks.

The Pure Harmony Serum is supposed to reduce the puffiness and swelling of face to give you a nice fresh glow. My skin did not get irritated with this product and I didn't notice a difference bc I don't have puffiness or swelling yet. So I def can't definitively say whether it lives up to its description. The serum was lightweight, pretty moisturizing and was unscented. It also did make my face feel soft after.

Overall, I did enjoy the Pure Harmony mist except the light stickiness I felt after application and I enjoyed the mositurizing and lightweight feeling of the serum. I did notice that the serum is quite pricey for someone in college like myself but we still have time to now have to use serums quite yet.

Price-$42 for 1fl oz
$15 for 2.1oz

Somme Institute MDT5 Kit

The Somme Institute consists of Dermotologist and researchers with one goal in mind = to make perfect skin. Conducting several clinical trials over 10 years they have came up with the MDT5, a five product line that aims to reduce lines and wrinkles, repair sun damage, while treating acne and rosacea to diminish dark spots.

The MDT5 kit comes with 5 products that you must use in a particular order: nourishing cleanser, transport pads, serum, A-bomb, and the Double defense

Nourishing cleanser- This cleanser is a different consistency then normal foam cleanser. More like lotion, the one offered in this kit can be used for all skin types and most skin conditions.

Transport pads- These thin little cotton pads stung a little bit for the first few days of starting the treatment. Containing vitamins, the transport pads are designed to help improve discoloration, tone and texture in your skin by unclogging pores.

Serum- Reduces premature aging while also smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by containing stabilized vitamin C.

A Bomb- is a lightweight cream used to help often the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while it helps smoothen skin.

Double defense- Containing SPF 30 this lotion protects the skin from sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles while it’s also good for improving skin discoloration for rosacea.

Here I am Day 0 of using the product

Notice the oily nose and forehead. It's usually alot worse but I wiped it down a little but bc I didn't want to show you that nastiness. Also not that ugly little pimple between my eyebrows!

Week 1- I did break out a little bit but they said that is normal. Look at that nasty pimple on the side of my nose. It was a lot worse but I let it get a bit better before I took this.

Week 3- I let that pimple go away and my face started looking better.

Week 4- Today. I put no face makeup on though I have some blush on. My oil has def gone down a bunch. I can't say that much about acne as I didn't have it bad to begin with but it helped maintain and didn't irritate my skin. My nose also has decreased oil as well.

Overall, I would recommend anyone with acne or rosacea to try this product out. I am also happy that it helped with my oily face. Also, if you are on the run always like me then you will have a difficult time keeeping up with this. Its five steps and its really easy to forget to use all the products. So my final thought is neutral I can't say I really need it but I also am happy with the results and can't say it didn't help a little.

Joey New York's Bye Bye Blackheads

Using the nourishing power of Green Coconut Water, Joey New York
created a line packed with nutrients, vitamins, minerals and proteins.  Consisting of 7 different products I chose to review the Bye Bye Blackheads as I have lots of them around my nose area.

Working to remove blackheads and minimize pores, this products help to treat acne breakouts. applying on areas enriched with blackheads you only need to leave the gel masque treatment on for 1 minute before you rinse and in a circular motion remove the product as well as blackheads. Enriched with young tender Green coconut water, and indian ginseng this complex will help smooth and repair skin while gently exfoliating the skin with vitamin E to nourish skin.

To show you its true results, I did not apply any makeup on my face (hense the oily nose). I know it's really ugly. You can def see all the blackheads on the sides of my nose area as well as my big ol' pores in the middle of my nose.

I used this product 2x a week for a month. It was super hot the day I took this picture so yeah ugly oily nose still. But if you look you can see that my pores are a little bit smaller and see the clearing on the sides of my nose. I still have lots more to repair but I can def say it is true to its word and I hope with continued use I will be ridden of blackheads!

Overall, I would def recommend this to someone suffering from blackheads looking or big pores! I'm hoping with continued use for another month or so my nose will start looking a lot better.

July Bloom.com Ambassador Box

Today is the last series of my July Bloom.com Ambassador box reviews. The last product I tried was the Strivectin-SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles.

Strivectin SD eye concentrate that is a wrinkle reducer, greatly reduces the dark cicles underneath your eyees and tired skin and puffiness all to give you a new refreshed vitalized look. I def am a victim of sleepless nights lately and am lucky if I get more than 5.5 hrs of sleep. So yeah my eyes are def puffy and I have dark circles underneath my eyes. I posted my before and after pictures while using this product and be aware they are w/o makeup pictures! Ekkkkk!

Here is my D1 photo. Notice my puffy eyes and the dark circles underneath. Wow I look really sleepy here. Strivectin SD should be applied to a clean face prior to your moisturizer in the morning and at night.

I tried this product for a week and half. I do have a little bit of eye makeup here, mascara and eyeliner but I don't have any face products under my eye. Notice the reduction of dark circles under my eye and a slight reduction in the puffiness of my eye. Since I don't have wrinkles yet I didn't notice a difference in that with use of this product. But its never too early to start!

Overall, I think the product did a very good job at hiding my lack of sleeps effect on my eyes. Although it is pretty awesome the price of $59 dollars a tube makes me cringe a little as I am a poor college student. But if you can afford it that's awesome. Unforunately I can't so I better start working out before bed or avoid taking a nap after work!

All Natural Skin Care

All Natural Skin Care beauty store based in New Jersey. As a small business, this was the first company I received a personal note from the owner on how to use her products. I loved that she took the time to work with me and send me some amazing products to review!

Here is how the products came. Isn't the wrapping so cute? I will be reviewing lots of different products today. Starting with a Ghassoul Face Mask.

Part of the Morrocan Collection is the Ghassoul Clay with Essentials Oils face mask. Used for skin cleansing and softening, this mask works to absorbs impurities under your skin brought on by everyday enviromental toxins. This mask also aids in detoxifying the skin, improves skin elasticity and extracts blackheads.

When I first saw the Ghassoul Clay I was confused. It looked like sand and I had never used it before. But as soon as you mix it with water it turns into a nice thick face mask that slowly dries onto your skin. You can feel it tighten the skin right away and honestly I was AMAZED that when I removed this mask the blackheads on my nose were GONE. Seriously GONE! I have never had a face mask remove my blackheads so I am def will be using this regulatly. Its light on the skin as it simply contains mineral salts, magnesium, zinc, potassium, and phosphorus.
Now as you all know I recently started using a toner. Used as an anti-septic, toners are good for killing all the nasty stuff on your face. And since I used it my little acne spots have gone down tremendously. All Natural Skin care has a Lavender toner. Some toners have an alcohol smell to them but what I love about this one is the refreshing smell it has. I use this toner in the morning and night following my cleansing regimen.
Another product I got to try out was the their 100% Argan oil. And if you have oily skin like me you wouldn't even think to use it, but Rita (Owner) told me to give it a try and I would be surprised with the results. I was very skeptical thinking I would for sure break out after using it. But I would add a few drops after I washed my face mask off. And guess what? I didn't break out after. It made my skin more softer. Who would of though exotic oil would help someone with oily skin?

The vitamin C Facial Serum brings the maximal amount of moisture to help give your face a restorative complection. I simply add this after my cleans/toner regimen. My face didn't break out and serving as a hyerpigmentation, it will help skin lose age spots. I don't have age spots yet but when I do I know what kind of products work well with my skin. Sea Fennerl Eye Creme is used to address skin wrinking, loss of elasticity, puffiness (which I suffer for) and hyper-pigimentation. Just dab some on your eye area night and day and it will make those nasty puffy eyes you get from not sleeping enough just disappear.

The final product I got to review was some of All Natural Skin Care's mineral foundation in Lola, Josephine, and Sophia.

As you already know I love mineral foundation. I swatched all three to see which one would suit my skin tone better. Lola was a beige color, josephine has a bronzing shimmer to it and sophia was the lightest of them all. I personally loved the way Josephine added the little glow to myself. I always put a primer on my skin before I put on my foundation so I get a long lasting effect.

Overall, I loved trying all the unique beauty products All Natural Skin Care has to offer. Especially the Ghassoul Clay Face Mask I mean what face mask out their removes blackheads!! I also loved the Lavender smelling toner!

LaRocca Skincare

LaRocca Skincare is an innovative company that utilizes the 24K colloidal gold to promote the transfer of metal ions typically found on our skin to stimulate quick cell repair. As one of the only companies to use this approach, LaRocca's skincare products are biodegradable, and are cruelty/synthetic ingredient free.

The products I will be reviewing today are the Vitamin Repair Mist, Lip shield, C-gold primer  and the Champagne and Shimmer Invigorating Body Polish.

  • Vitamin Repair Mist with SPF 15- Applied before your moisturizer, this mist aids in helping to repair, energize and revitalize your skin. It also contains SPF to help protect your face from the rays emitted from the sun perfect for the summer. It has a light refreshing smell, that awakens your skin when you spray it on. It's the perfect boost for your skin in the morning that will last throughout the entire day.
  • Champage and shimmer Invigorating Body Polish- Containing raw sugar, shea butter and 24k Colloidal gold this scrub is perfect for the dried knuckles and elbows. It has light citrus smell and you can feel the sugar remove debris and dead skin as you move it in a circular motion leaving your hands feeling soft and fresh!
  • C- Gold Regenerative Primer- is a innovative primer made with 24 K gold and various vitamins to help stimulate cell regeneration while also protecting your skin from the UV rays. The Gold pieces give you a little bronzing effect. It looks thick but goes on very smoothly and dries quickly so you can put on your foundation right after. My mineral foundation went on smooth and had no wet marks.

  • LipShield Multi-Active LipBalm- This balm was specifically created to deeply moisturize and nourish the skin while promoting cell regenration and aiding in preventing against germs and bacteria. I don't know about you but I never heard of a lip product that would help was anti-microbial, anti-fungal, or anti-viral. As a scientist I can def appreciate that. The consistency of this balm is un-describable it just feels nice and mositurized. I got Syrah which is a very natural neutral color with a hint of shimmer. Love the color! I think I just found a favorite lip balm!

Overall: I have been introduced to some new kind of skincare products. Offering a unique item in them, 24 K gold, I think LaRocca is def on the leading edge of skincare products. I enjoyed reviewing them and will def try out their other products. Everything I tried was great! Didn't give me any breakouts and made my skin fell fresh and revitalized! Alchimie Brightening Moisture Mask

When I was younger I was never really into skincare products but it seems the older I get the more I love finding products that help my face feel smooth while helping control my little acne problems on my forehead. Amazingly, I was picked as a Bloom Ambassador where I get the unique opportunity to review some amazing beauty products. Alchemie is a popular Sweden skincare brand that was offered primarily in dermitological offices but has since been offered everywhere including the US. The brightening moisture mask goals is to help brighten dull skin while moisturizing your face and providing antioxidants that will help lessen premature aging.

The very first thing that I noticed about this mask was how creamy it was. It literally felt like I was rubbing whipped cream on my face. As I have been trying out different skincare products I noticed my cheeks were a little irritated and I hope that this product would help sooth my skin.

This mask doesn't get hard so despite leaving on it will maintain its creamy texture. I can't even explain to you how soft my face felt after I washed the mask off. It was crazy soft! I spend like 10 mins rubbing my cheeks with my hands. I also noticed a reduction in my red irritated cheeks. The mask didn't irritate my skin or cause my face to be oily so I think it is suitable for any type of skin.

Overall, I am def satisfied with the results this products produces on my face. I will def continue to use it twice a week and hope it continues to make my skin feel nice and smooth while helping my face keep a uniform complexion.

NARS Moisturizer

I have used a lot of lotion moisturizers and they leave my face pretty greasy so I have been on the hunt for the perfect tinted moisturizer. I got a sample of NARS SPF 30 Moisturizer in St. Moritz.

As you can see this moisturizer is a light brown color that rubs really well into my skin. Actually you can't even see the moisturizer on my arm. So it went on extremely well on my face, left no greasy residue. And best of all my face was not as oily as it usually is!

Living in Texas or any place where you there's a lot of sun, it is great to wear a moisturizer to have SPF to protect your face from the Sun's harmful rays.

Overall, I am pleased with this moisturizer and would def purchase it! The only negative thing is it can be a bit expensive. Are they any good drug store tinted moisturizer's out there? I would love to do a review on those. Please leave suggestions below.

Price: $42
Where to find: Ulta, Sephora, or any department store: Macy's Nordstrom, etc.

Julep Pomegranate Body Scrub

On the hunt the perfect hand scrub!

Today I tried Julep's Pomegranate scrub!

It smells nice, it is really rough (exfoliator) so you know its rubbing off all that dead nasty skin!

And it leaves your hands feeling softer!

I tried the Qtica one yesterday and I have to admit this one was better in making my hands softer. I think the Qtica Grapefruit texture was better bc of the sugar crystals but they both exfoliated really well. Both smelled lovely!

At the end of the day I would have to go with Julep's Scrub.

Qtica Sugar Scrub

Lately my hands have been very dry and I mean seriously just yucky! I was so excited to get this Grapefruit Sugar Scrub with my last Zoya order.

After soaking your hands in water for a couple minutes you simply squeeze out a good amount on your hands and using a circular motion scrub it all over your hands. First off it smells amazing! Like I want to lick it off my hands amazing. Secondly it thick sugar crystals that you can feel as your scrub your hands removing all the dead skin. And they feel nice and smooth when you wash it off. I def need to start using hand scrubs more often.

Do you have a favorite scrub? I would love to try others!

Skintactix Skin Care

The hunt for skincare is still on. This week I want to talk about Skintactix a company that specializes in skincare and acne treatment in general. All of these products I got are for oily skin.

I tried the following products: Glycolic Cleanser, Glycolic Exfoliator and Green Tea Poultice.
  • Glycolic cleanser- contains antibacterial that help clean dirt/debris from pores. The first thing I noticed was the smell of the product. It had a citrus/lime smell. Very refreshing!
  • Glycolic Exfoliator- Used after the cleanser, this powerful exfoliator cleans deep in pores to ensure the removal of excess dirt. I love the way exfoliator feel as your scrub them across your face.
  • Green Tea Poultice- Apply this antibacterial product over acne to help pull out and remove infection. It feels a little thick but once you put a moisturizer over it your good.
Overall thought: so many products have the sugary sweet smell that I really appreciated the refreshing citrus/lime smell of this product. I really liked the poultice as I have never used a product like it and will def continue to use it for my acne prone areas. These are amazing products that will get the job done and give you nice and clear skin.

Also, they have other types of cleansers depending on what your looking for. For more info visit any of their pages!

Dead Sea Premier Skincare

I've done reviews on cleanser, toners, and mask now what about anti-aging and nutrient/minerals for your skin. It is never too early to start using anti-aging products.

Bio Liposome Gel Serum is a gel like product that you put on your face after using a skin toner. It helps moisturize your face as it contains aloe vera and a bunch of nutrients. It helps recondition and nourish your skin with mineral to help it maintain a healthy balance.

Moisturizing Emulsion- is a lotion containing lots of vitamins/minerals that is good for aiding in oil control as well as anti-aging. Even though its a lotion it is very light. Usually add it right after the gel serum. I don't even use a moisturizer and put this on instead and my facial makeup still looks great!   Ever since I have used all of the Premier Dead Sea products my oily skin has decreased significantly. I don't have wrinkles yet but I def want to start using anti-aging products now as you never know when they show up =)

Using these too products together daily following cleansing helps control acne, moisturizes skin and helps decrease oily skin. I have noticed a dramatic change in my face since using all of the Dead Premier Sea Products.

Dead Sea Premier Face Mask

I loved watching girly movies and see them with this cute face masks on! Face mask are good for your face as they replenish your skin cleaning deep down into the pores while increasing the elasticity and firmness of the skin. But did you know face mask can also help reduce/prevent the appearance of wrinkles? Dead Sea Premier has a Mud, Seaweed, and Honey Mask. Containing antibiotic enzyme, this mask also work perfect for oily skin like mine! It's a light green color with a really nice smell. If you don't know by now I love products that smell nice. The consistency is one of the best I have used before. You just leave it on for 30 mins then wash it off. Your skin feels so nice and soft after!

Neutrogena Hand Cream

I never had a problem with dry hands when I was younger but I noticed as I am getting older my poor little knuckles are cracking. Since I just started working at a hospital I will have to wash my hands like a maniac which means my hands will get worse. I was at Nordstrom Rack the other day and saw this hand cream by Neutrogena.

This hand cream is not too greasy so you won't have to worry about staining your clothes and does a great job at moisturizing and softening your hands. My hands and knuckles are def feeling more soft and healthy. This cream will be in my purse from now on so I always have access to it. What are other good hand creams out there? Would love to find more or even better ones!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

I am in search for the perfect skin care products. Today I am reviewing the daily microfoliant from Dermologica. Aimed to remove the dead cells to promote smoother skin, the microfoliant helps balance the skin pigmentation. Its good for all skin types and has no strong chemical smell. As with any exfoliate, I love how scrubbing your face feels with an exfoliator.

This microfoliant is gentle on skin, you don't need much to use just poor a little powder on your hand add water to make a paste and then scrub it on your face. As soon as you wash this off your face you can feel your face def smoother OMG!

My only negative drawback is it is a tad bit expensive. It is worth it but I also would like to hunt more cheaper alternatives bc we all can't afford them.

Price ~$50
Where to find: sephora, ulta or online

Premier Dead Sea Cleanser

For today's skincare lesson I wanted to talk to you all about the importance of facial cleansers. Now facial cleanser aim to clean your face to remove makeup while balancing the pH of your skin. A skincare company called: Premier Dead sea provided me with 2 facial cleansers for review. Both were used during a 1.5 weeks to see it affects on my little breakouts. My luck that right before I started to use this products I got a fugly pimple on my chin area right t so these products would be put to the ultimate test.

The first cleanser located on the left side is the exfoliating/cleansing gel. Containing micro-plant seeds it aims to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. This product should be used 2-3 times per week. I love how exfoliating cleanser's feel as your rubbing the seeds into your face. It left me with nice, smooth skin that my boyfriend loved feeling. Have oily skin? Don't worry the pH of this product is perfect for any skin.

The second item is a facial cleanser that should be used morning and night daily. Similar to the first one it works well for oily skin and is good at removing makeup while also balancing your skin from everyday toxins. I def want to mention that this cleanser has an AMAZING smell!

Following a 1.5 week use I noticed a decrease in oil in my face, as well as a clear face free from my regular little pimple children on my forehead. Also, despite my monthly friend coming very soon I have yet to get my little monthly pimple. I def want to treat my skin better and make sure to help it maintain its pH/cleanse by washing it regularly. I hope you do the same!

Premier Dead Sea Toner

I use to think that when I used a makeup remover cloth that t removed all of the old makeup/dirt but boy was I wrong. Wondering why I still got pimples especially on my forehead area I decided to take a diff approach and focus more on my skin care. I have been lucky enough to be allowed to review many skincare products from Premier Dead Sea an online skincare store. So for the next few days I am going to review and teach you about some important skincare products.

Today's lesson is the importance of using a skin toner. A toner is a antiseptic and is aimed to remove traces of makeup/dirt left while also soothing your skin. It leaves your face feeling refreshingly great after.

Although I don't want to show you this I need to. I used an makeup remover to clean my face. Cleansed my face with a facial wipe. Then using a cotton pad gently swiped some toner over my face. Look at the dirty gunk on the right side of the pad. Nasty! That is the stuff I leave on there when I use to do nothing after I washed my face. And since using it I have noticed my skin softer and more clearer than it should be. Plus this toner is for oily skin. Oh and you know how I've been complaining lately that my skin is getting crazy oily. Well, since using this product I have noticed a decrease on the oil in my face all day.You def should start using a toner if you don't already.

*I received this product to review but give my 100% honest opinion

Acne Medication

I hate getting surprise visitors aka pimples. I always get them on my chin, on my nose and on my forehead. I don't have many but when I get one I GET one! lol! I can't stand waiting for the pimple to go away and also hate popping them bc they leave a scar on my face.  Lately I have been using this Acne medication. I happened to get the Target brand since they didn't have any other ones at the time. I just wash my face at night, dab a little before I go to bed then wash my face in the morning. This bad boy dries them pretty well. Of course you have to apply it for a couple of days but it seriously makes them look so much better!

Price: Forgot (sorry)
Where to find: Target or you can get any other kind anyways
