L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess

Happy Labor day all! I got a bunch of drug store mascara from Rite aid to review! I love trying these bc these next two years while I am a student I will only be able to afford these so I need to find good ones for good deals.

The one I am reviewing today is from L'Oreal and its the Voluminous Million Lashes Excess in Blackest black.

IMG_4407
As usual the firs thing I do is check out the brush. I can easily tell if I will get clumps easy but this brush looked nice you don't see excess mascara between bristles and they are thing enough so they will reach each individual lash as you apply.

IMG_4388
I hope you guys love comparison photos bc I really like to show you what each mascara does for me. While I have long lashes they are normally flat as you can see on the right side. But when I applied mascara on the left side you can the lengthening and volumizing capabilities of this mascara. I didn't even need to curl my lashes before to achieve this and the lashes stayed up for most of the day

IMG_4389
Here is a side shot showing my lame lashes on the right side and my lashes with the L'Oreal mascara on the left side. Very satisfied with this mascara. Will def be adding this brand to my drug store favorites. But I got like 4 more drug store brands to review so we will see which others will be my favorite.

Price: $8.95

Physicians Formula Organic wear Jumbo Lash Mascara

The other day I did a review on a Lancome mascara that not only costed $28 dollars but I wasn't impressed. Needless to say I was on the hunt for a way cheaper mascara that would get the job done!!

IMG_3997
The other day CVS was having a big sale on Physicians Formula products so I decided to try out the Organic wear Jumbo Lash Mascara.

IMG_4007
First thing I like to do is look at the brush on my mascaras. I can tell by the spacing and way the bristles are if I will get clumps. You can tell the bristles here have a good amount of space in between one another and you don't see too much excess mascara on it. Good sign!!

Now to compare my lashes with mascara and without to see its results!!

IMG_4008
My lashes although very long are flat and feathery lol! I look for a mascara that not only lengthens them and keeps it like that but one that adds volume and leaves them nice and thick. Left side is with mascara and right side is without. You can see right away that the mascara def lengthens my lashes! First good sign!

IMG_4010

Next, I wanted to compare the volume capabilities of the mascara. Again left side has mascara and right side is without. You can def see that it adds a little bit of volume to my lashes. Not the best I have seen but then again not the worst. The brush made it easy to apply uniformly and didn't get clumps!

Overall, I say it is pretty good. Good length and okay volume! Def better to me than Lancome and a heck of a lot cheaper. So this just shows you not all luxury brands are great! Some drug store brands can still give you the same results with half the price if not more!!

Price- $9.99

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara

What is your favorite app for your smartphone? Mine is def Wrapp. If you haven't heard about this app its basically one where you can send virtual gift cards to your FB friends. Some are free and some you have the option of purchasing ones. Most free ones range from $5-10 depending on what company they feature. A few weeks ago I got a Lancome $10 wrapp card from my friend. I waited for the right moment when Lancome offered free shipping for any purchase and I got a mascara. I have never tried any Lancome product and was super excited!!!

IMG_3990
I chose a mascara which was originally $28 which I def wouldn't normally buy.

IMG_3996
The mascara I chose was the Hypnose Drama mascara. First off it was the first snake or S-shaped mascara I have seen so I had to see what it offered. To me the shape would make it easier to reach the inner/outer lashes you normally can't reach and it would be easier to uniformly put the mascara on.

IMG_4002
The first thing I noticed was it added pretty good length as you can see on my lashes with the left hand side containing mascara and the right hand side with nothing

IMG_4006
Side view of mascara side (left) and regular lashes side (right)

IMG_4003
As far as volume goes I didn't see a dramatic thickness to them that I usually like. In fact its pretty hard for me to tell the difference between my lashes with mascara (left ) and without (right) in terms of thick voluminous ones.

And while the mascara offered pretty good length at first within 10 minutes my lashes didn't stay in place long and dropped down where I needed to re-curl them a bunch of times. I def was not liking that as I like mascaras that can stay in place for a little while. The brush shape is really cool but to me there was no added benefit for it. I could easily reach every lash by carefully using my wand to each area.

So would I ever pay $28 again for this mascara?
The answer is no... and I am kind of disappointed bc being a Lancome product I guess I expected more. I know a lot of drug store brands that can do the same thing as this one. Def not impressed.

Where to buy: Any department store (Macy's, Nordstrom, etc.)

Physician Formula Organic Wear Mascara

Looking for a new drug store mascara? How about a organic formula based on? Well her is my review on the Physician's Formula Organic wear mascara I got from Bloom.com to test.

IMG_2751
Made with 70% organic farming ingredients, the Organic wear mascara helps lashes lengthen and volumize those lashes. One thing I am picky about when it comes to mascaras is the brush. I hate when its thick bristles and makes clumpy lashes yuk!

Let's see what kind of bristles are on the Organic wear mascara

IMG_2753
Yay! The brush has nice separated bristles to make sure all lashes get an evenly distribution of the mascara. All you do is your regular wiggle technique and you got nice clump-free lashes.

IMG_3600
Sorry my forehead is sweating a little yuk! I think I tried it out after a jog lol! But as you can see on the left hand side the Organic wear mascara helps lengthen lashes really well. It also volumizes good too as compared to my boring, flat, normal lashes.

Overall, for a drug store mascara this does a great job at giving me length and volume to my lashes! Love the brush it helps me get my mascara on clump-free. And most importantly its made from natural ingredients so you don't have to be scared about what your putting on your eyes. If I could say one con I would say that my lashes tend to start falling by the end of the day so you might want to curl them before you apply this mascara or after (I know bad bad) to make sure it lasts all day! Other than that its a keeper!!

Price $9.95 at any drug store
**This week at CVS all PF products are $6 off so you can score this mascara for $3.95 amazing deal!!!!

Studio Gear Cosmetics

I have always wanted to try some products from Studio Gear Cosmetics. So when I was got the opportunity to review some of the most popularist products of theirs I jumped on it quick.

Today I will be reviewing an eyeshadow, face primer and mascara!

IMG_3286
The first product is a 3:1 Harmonic Eyeshadow Palette
IMG_3290
Containing a contour, highlight and accent color this 3:1 shadow has colors that when combined will give your a perfect look

IMG_3295
There is a darker brown for the crease, lighter brown for the base lid and a lighter brown/beige for the under eyebrow area

IMG_3291
The second product I tried was the SPF-20 face primer. This light non greasy primer works to balance and protect the skin from environmental stress while helping to diminish fine lines and wrinkles

IMG_3292
The last product I tried was the Impact Full Pro LTS mascara

IMG_3294
The brush looked nice and fluffy!

IMG_3340
I am so sorry that tiny part of my bangs came out but what can you so. to the left contains the Impact full mascara that was simply applied (did NOT curl lashes prior or after application) and my normal lashes. I do have long lashes but they are normally flat and lets just say I need a good volumizing mascara to get the job done.

IMG_3348
Here is after application of the mascara on both eyelashes.

IMG_3347
Here is my overall look using the 3:1 shadow with the lighter beige underneath the eyebrows, the medium brown on the base and the darker brown on the crease. When used with a primer the shadows lasted well.

Overall, if I had to pick my favorite product it would be the mascara hands down! I didn't think I would get much length let alone volume but my lashes look amazing! The applicator puts mascara on great with little/no clumps! My second favorite was the eyeshadows. I liked how well they go together to create my look and they are pretty pigmented. Well I thought the face primer was good for SPF coverage I am not sure about the diminishing of fine line and wrinkles as I have neither yet so I really can't conclude on if it worked. But I did not break out or anything when using it.

Rimmel London New Beauty products

Hi all! Today I have reviews of some new products from Rimmel London! From lips, eyes to face products I was really excited to get to try these products out just for you guys!

The first two products I got to try was 2 of the new Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Collection Lipsticks

IMG_2438
I love the case colors and slanted angle of these lipsticks.

IMG_2439
The two matte colors I have is 110 and 102

IMG_2162
Lipstick shots of 110 and 102. I love that there matte and have absolutely no glitter in them.

IMG_2447
110 is a coral/pink color. Really cute, really shiny. I think this color will look good with light and brown skin tones.

IMG_2449
102 is a lighter pink color. To me it was a little more streaky and I wasn't a big fan. It I had to chose between the two I would def choose the 110.

IMG_2451
The Max Volume Flash mascara. The brush for the applicator is good and allows even distribution of mascara so you will have zero clumps. While this mascara is good at lengthening lashes I didn't think the volume properties were good enough to give me nice and thick voluminous lashes.

IMG_2454
The next product I tried is the Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eye liner in black

IMG_2455
Not going to lie this eye liner was pretty freakin sweet for a drug store brand. It is really pigmented like other designer liners I used and lasts pretty long too! I was pretty impressed.

IMG_2452
Rimmel London also has eyeshadow sticks that are like giant crayons to glide on smoothly. The color I treid was Bulletproof beige.

IMG_2453
I just swiped it really quick but as you can see the color is a shimmery beige color. I should have tried it with a primer but the pigmentation is fairly well. I probably would use this as a shadow base but I wish I could see how the darker colors come off.

IMG_2457
The last product I got to try is one I have not tried yet a BB cream. This BB cream does 9 jobs for this one product by priming, moisturizing pores, conceals, covers, smooths, mattifies, brightens, and helps protect to give a flawless natural finish

IMG_2458
The consistency is so soft like whipped cream. A little of this product goes a long way to give a nice light layer on the face. I've been using this cream for over 2 weeks and it works great! No breakouts or nothing!

Overall, I enjoyed trying these new products and thought some were very good well others were okay.
