Barielle Nail Swatches

I recently got on the Barielle PR list and was asked to pick 4 polishes I would like to try. Since I don't have much polishes I enlisted the help of some serious nail polish pros and they gave me four must have polishes to chose.

IMG_3654
The colors I got were: Starchild, Jess' Champagne Toast, Falling Star, and Satin glow

IMG_4187
Since Starchild is really thick glitter I wanted to do it on the accent finger on top of Dermelect's Moxie a bubble gum pink color. Star child is holographic thick and thin hex glitters. I kinda like this color combination!

IMG_3928
Jess' Champagne toast is a purple metallic color. This color was okay but nothing unique about it personally

IMG_3877
Falling star on the otherhand, is a very unique color combination. It is a royal blue color with gold glitter that also looks pink. I really like how the glitter pops out in this polish! Def one of my favs!

IMG_3810
The last polish I got and another one of my favs is Satin glow a pink/peachy color with a gold shimmer to it. It is really hard to see and my camera def doesn't give it justice but this color is seriously gorgeous and it looks great with my skintone.

Overall, if I had to choose my two favorite polishes they would without a doubt be Satin glow and Falling star for sure! Jess' Champagne toast wasn't anything special and Starchild was okay.

Price- $8

Barielle Brilliant Colors Collection

I am so excited to now be part of the Barielle Blogger family and to show you swatches to the very first collection I got to review, the Brilliant Color Collection.

IMG_4075
This collection consists of the 5 following colors: High Marks Purple, Smarty Pants Pink, Straight A Coral, Head of the Class Green,  and Magna Cum Laude Turquoise. As a college student I just love the fact that they have college them named! How fun!

IMG_4076
High Marks Purple wine kind of purple color. Not a violet but not a lavender, right in between. This would be a great base color for nail designs

IMG_4089
Smart Pants Pink is a bubble gum pink color. I see this color a lot so nothing unique about it but it is a pretty color

IMG_4091
Smart A Coral is a beautiful coral red color. Love it very much and don't think I have a color like it. It has amazing shine as well

IMG_4095
Head of the Class Green interesting green color. Make sure you put base coat on this one because it is the only one that stains out of the collection. It stained my skin as well so just be very careful when applying

IMG_4201
Magna Cum Laude Turquoise is a raspberry/sky blue color. Kind of reminds me of the slurpee blue color very bright and nice. I usually don't like blues on me especially darker ones but this light one doesn't look bad at all!

My favorite two colors in the collection are def Straight A Coral and Magna Cum Laude Turquoise for sure!!!

Price- $8 (Ind) or $25 (5-pack)

Maybelline Color Show Polish

Now I know I've been doing a bunch of swatches on some pretty pricey polishes. As a student I know we can't all afford the name brand ones but there are plenty of affordable drug store brands with some amazing polishes. When Rite Aid had their Nail Extravaganza they sent me a bunch of drug store nail polishes including two new colors in the Maybelline Color Show collection.

IMG_4204
The two colors I got was #190 Coral Crush and # 320 Green with Envy. It's like the Rite Aid PR knew me the colors are beautiful.

 But how will they apply??

Let's see..

IMG_4207
Coral crush was applied with two coats. Uh gorgeous right?? It went on uniformly and has a nice shine. Beautiful color! It's like it was meant for my skintone lol!

IMG_4209
Green with envy is a mint green color!  Another beautiful color and it even looks good with my skintone but I bet it looks even better on lighter skin like my sister. Very very nice color!

I hope I showed you you don't need to spend a fortune to get some good color polishes! These cost like $3 and Maybelline has came out with a bunch of fun pretty new colors in their collection. Two of which are swatched above. Can't wait to see what other amazing colors they have!!

Price ~ $3
Where to find-drug stores such as CVS, walgreens, Target, Walmart, Ulta and etc.

Butter London Colour Clash Collection

Is everyone ready for fall collections?? Yay!! Today I have 2 polishes from the new Colour Clash Collection from Butter London. I was so excited to review some. Now this collection consists 6 colors and I got 3. I left the 3rd one out because I wanted to try a nail art design with it for another review so I have two to show you today.

IMG_4256
The polishes I have for you today are Silly Billy and Giddy Kipper

IMG_4238
Silly Billy is a tangerine or carrot orange. I know this will be a perfect color for nail art for Halloween and even thanksgiving. Two colors I hate are orange and yellow but I would def sport this color again. It looks nice on my skin tone and I know it will look nice on lighter skin tone. Def an orange I would wear again

IMG_4241
Giddy Kipper is a blue/purple creme color that I honestly feel that this photo doesn't capture the true beauty of this polish. It has a blue and violet shimmer to it. It is really gorgeous in person! I think it will def go in my favorite pile! Can't wait to wear it out!

Overall, these two colors are amazing. I am def going to go hunt for the neon pink and yellow ones because the two I have are very pretty. I will also do some sort of nail art with the white one I have called cotton buds. Hint-I am def impressed with it already. Go out and get you some of the Colour Clas Collection. You won't regret it! Very vibrant bright colors that are def worth it!!

Butter London Pop Art Collection

Don't you love the beginning of the seasons for winter, fall, and summer?? I know I do bc that means new collections come out for all my favorite nail brands!! Woo hoo!! I was so excited to get to review 2 of the 3 polishes for a company I have always loved... Butter London.

IMG_4198
The Pop Art collection consists of 3 polishes and I have two of them here today to swatch for you. There names are Cheeky chops and Keks.

I apologize in advanced for the condition of my fingers. I was sick and work in health care so I continually washed my hands and because of that my fingers were peeling. I work with such a sick population that I would rather have peeled skin over getting severely vulnerable patients sick. They are gone now but when I looked at these photos I was a little disgusted.

But back to the polishes...

IMG_4195
Cheeky chops isn't a new polish but it is new for me. It's a bright yellow creme color. Reminds me of a lemon drop kind of color. Very bright and surprisingly not bad with my skin tone. I thought I was going to look like a banana but it looks good.

IMG_4197
The second color is a new lacquer called Keks. It is a baby blue creme color. Reminds me of the pretty blue sky on a summer day. I think it would look really nice on light or brown skin tone. This would be an excellent base color for nail designs (even though I'm not good at it!)

Ps. Later on this week I will be swatching a few polishes from the upcoming fall collections... let me tease you by saying gorgeous!!

Zoya 2013 Stunning Collection

It's officially summer time in the Nail Polish World! Yay!  Looking forward to all the summer lines coming out from all my favorite brands! I recently got the Stunning Collection to review from one of my favorite brands, Zoya!!

Ready to see all the beautiful colors in this collection??

IMG_3641
The first three colors I wanted to show you are Darcy, Thandie, and Micky

IMG_3656
Darcy is def a summer color. It reminds me of lemons, or the banana in the Runts candy. It is super bright! But to my surprise it actually looks good on my skin tone.

IMG_3660
Thandie is a light coral color! Very nice natural color I could probably pull off at work without any problems!

IMG_3665
Micky is a bright pink color! Perfect to wear on a night out with a black shirt so your nails stand out!

IMG_3642
The last three colors in this collection are: Yana, Rocky, and Josie

IMG_3669
Yana is a darker fushia pink color.

IMG_3671
Rocky reminds me of a blue raspberry slurpee color. It will make your nails stand out pretty well and it looks good on brown skin tone!

IMG_3673
I was so surprised with Josie. I was thinking it wasn't going to look good but it is gorgeous!! Love it!! It is like a mojito kind of color! Another color that will pop out if you wear black or something with a hint of green in it!

Overall, the colors in this collection are bright and will stand out this summer! Love them!! Which one is your favorite color?

Price $8 ea or $48 for entire collection

China Glaze Holographic Collection

It's here at last! Swatches for 6 of the 12 new Holographic collection from China Glaze! I love to get the opportunity to review products for China Glaze and was sooooo excited to get these!

IMG_3615
The first three polishes I got were pinks and purples: Not in this galaxy, When stars collide, and Astro-hot
IMG_3629
Not in this galaxy is a peachy-pink color with a silver holographic to it. It is a very pretty and unique pink in my opinion

IMG_3630
When stars collide is a plum purple holographic

IMG_3633
Astro hot is a soft baby pink with a hint of silver holographic. If I had to choose between the two pinks I probably would choose Not in this galaxy because of its unique color

IMG_3616
The blue-green polishes I got were: Omg a ufo, Don't be a luna-tic and Strap on your moonboots

IMG_3634
Omg a UFO is a really pretty forest green holographic. I really like  how it looks on my skin tone

IMG_3636
Don't be a lunatic is a silver-blue color. Kind of reminds me of like snowflakes would look like (even though I have never seen snowflakes lol)

IMG_3638
Strap on my moonboots is a gorgous navy blue color that kind of has dark purple hint to it. Really pretty!!

Overall, my favorite of the group were Not in this galaxy, OMG a UFO, and Strap on my moonboots. I wish the holographic popped out a little more but other than that I liked the polishes. I also seen they have other amazing colors I didn't get but def will be hunting down!!

Butter London Swatches

I recently have been getting into Butter London polishes! I was so excited to get the chance to review two polishes! First off I just love the unique shape bottles they have! Butter London polishes are 3-Free but I am sure everyone already knows that =)

So let's get started

IMG_3513
The two polishes I got was Big Smoke and Shandy

IMG_3477
Big Smoke is a gorgeous metallic navy blue polish. Now I am usually not a dark blue polish but I love the lighter blue sparkle it has. Kinda has a dark purple hint to it. It is nice!

IMG_3474
Shandy is a light beige with a hint of orange creme polish. I think the color looks pretty good with brown skin and it def will look good on light skin as well. It is a great color to wear at work.

Overall, I love Butter London polishes! They dry quickly, apply easily and the overall look is beautiful! While I wish I could afford Butter London's everyday the truth is I can't so if you are on the same boat as me I suggest waiting till a good sale at Ulta. I have seen sales where they are $9 which is really good! I also can't wait to try more glitter polishes bc I have seen swatches and they look gorgeous!!

Price-$15

Etoile Spring Collection

Since I just got back from NY and loved it I thought it would be fun to do a review on a new nail polish company from NYC that I was asked to review for. Etoile polish is a unique company in the sense that their polishes have a formula that is different from any other brand! Their polish is infused with geniune diamond dust! They also are 3-free.

IMG_3425
The collection I got to review is the Greenwich St. Soiree set that was inspired by the West Village in NYC.

IMG_3427
In this collection is Fizzy Cucumber and Pink Panache.

IMG_3446
Fizzy cucumber is a light mint green color. Looks amazing with my brown skin tone right?? But it will also look amazing with a light skin tone as well. I honestly don't think this color can go wrong with anyone. It's so hard to see in the photo but the polish has an amazing sparkle to it! Absolutely gorgeous!

IMG_3450
Pink Panache is a sparkly hot pink color. This color also looks amazing on both light and dark skin tone.

Overall, I love love love these colors! They are perfect for spring and will look good on any skin tone! I think the diamond dust definitely adds a unique sparkle to this nail polishes! It only took two coats to get full coverage and each dried very quickly! I can't wait to wear them again and look forward to what other colors Etoile Polish will come up with in the future!!!

Price- $18
Where to find: Online and a very limited amount of shops so far but be on the look out for new shops to offer them!!

March Nail Art Society Bag

Here it is the March Nail Art Society Box. Not really sure if there was a theme but it def included a lot of decals.

Want to see what I got?

IMG_3350
One thing I do appreciate about each month's bag is that they give you ideas on how to make looks with the things you receive in the bag.

IMG_3351
Here is what I got in this months box: Some nail polish strips. They are black and white stripes. Not a big fan of strips but thats okay.

IMG_3352
Here is the other things I got: little orange circle decals, caviar beads, like 10 orange circles and flowers.

Personally I am not a fan of the flowers, oranges or orange decals as I just don't feel like they would stay on my hands long enough and my top coat will look ugly with a thick coat over the items. Caviar beads are not bad in fact they look cute on an accent finger but again they won't stay on too long bc you aren't supposed to put a top coat over them.

I am extremely disappointed in this Month's bag as I was last month but probably worse here. Honestly the cost of all the stuff in this bag is probably like $2. I feel its def not even worth $10 let alone $20 which is what most pay for this months bag.  In the last two months bag I have gotten nothing that even remotely comes close to great. I also really don't like how they have pictures of nice nail brands like Butter London and Deborah Lippmann polishes when the only polish I have gotten is Finger Paints. Completely dissatisfied and I already cancelled my subscription to try another beauty subscription! So onto the bigger and better things hopefully!

What do you think of this months box??

eDiva Acrylic Makeup Organizer

Makeup hoarder like I am? Need to organize your products a little more better! I was so excited to get to review one for you guys so check out the Duchess acrylic Makeup Organizer by eDiva

IMG_3247
Consistenty of 5 drawers the Duchess will give you around 1,200 cubic inch of space in each drawer to fit all your beauty products inside! Best of all its clear so you can see whats in each drawer all around! The exact dimension of this organizer is 10" wide by 12" height
Another nice thing about the Duchess Organizer is its very sturdy

Want to see how I organized my Duchess Makeup Organizer?

IMG_3261
I wanted to show you how you could store a variety of beauty products from nails, face, eyes, and lips!

To give you a better idea I will go through each drawer to give you ideas on how you could best utilize your space!

IMG_3260
I know a big question people were asking me is can I store my nail polish in it? For the duchess you can but unfortunately you have to do them flat as they are not deep enough to store standing up. But I might add that the other organizer offered by eDiva, the Princess includes a 4" deep bottom drawer for nail polish. Here I placed some Hard Candy, theBalm, Illamasqua and CND polishes! Not bad at all but if you want them standing up I suggest the other one and you could probably fit way more in that drawer than having them lying down like mine.

IMG_3252
Included with your order is free bonus X dividers to seperate products within each drawer.

IMG_3259
This came in handy with some of my face products where I seperated concealers and different types of foundation by either brand or types. Now if you want to utilize the whole drawer you can certainly just put them all together but I liked the idea of seperating them!

IMG_3258
Have a bunch of palettes? No problem I was able to stack 2-3 palettes depending on the height of each. I put two Urban Decay palettes which are a little more bulkier on one side while I was able to stack 2 theBalm palettes and the Make Up For Ever Flash Palette. Finally at the back I put both of my Naked Basics and Flushed palette and could have def stacked another one on top!

IMG_3256
What about blushes? As I have blushes of different brands and shapes I utilized the X dividers as well. You can easily fit stick blushes like Benefits Fine One-One as well as circle blushes like Tarte's Amazonian Clay and Urban Decay or NYC ones.

IMG_3255
Are you a lippy fanatic like me? I actually never was one until Jess at Love for Lacquer kept teasing me with lippies that I had to give them a try and now I am def a lippy hoarder! What is nice is that you can stack lipsticks lying down and still have room to put another one on top. You can def fit alot of lippies in a single drawer!

**disclaimer-this product was provided to review for my 100% honest opinon**

Overall, I love my Duchess Makeup Organizer from eDiva. It makes my makeup look nice and saves me time when I am on the hunt for that one blush and/or lippy. As a student, I know that it is quite expensive for this organizer ($198) but if you can afford it go for it! eDiva also has pay plans of 3 montly payments of $66 and you get free shipping on all purchases!

**You Had Me At Makeup Follower- eDiva was kind enough to donate a Duchess Organzier in Celebration of my 1-year Blogiversary so look for the Giveaway link this coming Monday!
