Coastal Scents Eye Products

As you know I am always raving about Coastal Scents eyeshadow palettes. But this time I decided to switch things up and review some different type of products.

The first product is Coastal Scents Primer in Matte. Now I have tried lots of other primers but they tend to be expensive. I was on a mission to find a good primer for a good price.

This primer is a light beige color.

It comes out creamy then turns opaque as it dries.

I put on a shimmery brown eyeshadow and it went on easy. As I have oily skin I loved that it did not smear everywhere and my eyeshadow was able to stay pigmented all throughout the day but by bed time it did come off a bit.

The second thing I got was the Reach Mascara and I must say it is true to its name. The corkscrew applicator makes it easy to reach every eyelash without sacrificing the others. I didn't get any clumps in my lashes and the length was what I look for in my mascara's.

You guys know I am a die hard eye liner fan so I had to see if there eyeliner passes my test. They only have duo Shadow pens and while I am not a white eyeliner fan I couldn't beat the price. This one is called the Mystery Wand. And it has a black liner with a hint of silver shimmer and a white liner.

I always like to draw the liner on my arm first as I know just from that if its a good liner. I look for far a dark pigment, comes off easy pretty much what you see on my hand. This right here ladies is a liner to add to my favorite's.

At last, here is my makeup using the Coastal Scents primer, mascara and eyeliner. Coastal Scents never ceases to amaze me and I love how good of work their product does without sacrificing the price. Affordable cosmetics at amazing deals! That's all I have to say. I am so glad I heard of this company and will def use it in the future!

Price: $9.95 (primer), $4.95 (mascara), $2.95 (liner)

Mash Nails Scented Neon Nail Polish

Today's review is on the Nail Collection from Mash Nails. I had never heard of this company before but was really excited to hear that I would get to try their Scented Neon Polishes.

There are 6 polishes in this collection that represent a bunch of my favorite fruits. Left to right: Cherry, Strawberry, Orange, Banana, Lime, and Fruit Punch.

The first polish of this collection is cherry. Its red, shiny and smells amazing!

The second polish is Strawberry. My favorite fruit! It's a light Neon pink and you just can't go wrong with pink honestly.

The third color was orange. It's a light orange but bright color.
The fourth polish in this collection is banana. This bright yellow smelled just like the little banana candies in Runts (Hope you know what I'm talking about). I was seriously considering eating it j/k! But it smelled so good! Def my fav smelling one.

The fifth polish is Lime. A beautiful light green color. This one is another one that smelled just like lime! And this is by far my favorite color of this collection.

The last polish of this collection is fruit punch. When I first saw the polish I thought it was going to be blue raspberry but it reminds me of Hawaiian Punch.

Overall review: The first thing I loved about these polishes is that although you smelled the normal polish chemicals but when they dry they smelled true to their name. The colors are so bright and shiny (All of these were taken w/out a top coat and 2 coats for each color).  The brush applicator allows the polish to come on easily and they dry pretty fast.  Also, I looked at the back of these polishes and they are 3 Free as well. All in all, I love my first scented nail polish collection and am interested in seeing what other kinds of products this company offers including some fine tip nail pens I have my eyes on!

Price: $9.99 (0.21 oz) You can't beat the price!

BeautyBox Five April 2012

  • Doctor T's: Supergoop Sunscreen Swipe- Haven't had a chance to try this yet but will add on to this soon. Seems cool though that its a wipe hoping it won't be too greasy, provides a uniform appearance and protects me from the harmful sun rays.
  • purlisse: Moisturizer. It is lightly scented, has spf 30 in it. Doesn't give you that greasy appearance and blends extremely well with your foundation
  • LA Fresh: Waterproof Makeup Remover- I had bright eyeshadow and mascara that came off quite easily with these wipes. They also has a nice light smell to them. They got the job done and best of all they are eco-friendly!
  • Makeup Geek: Eyeshadow in Homecoming a brown/shimmery color which will give you that nice natural appearance. It is so pretty as I have trouble finding the right brown for me and this will def make it to my fav shadow palettes.
  • Freeman Beauty: Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Scrub- First off the smell of this facial scrub is phenomenal. I love how the little beads as they are removing dead debris off your face. Your face feels so soft after you wash it with this. Def will be buying the full size bottle of this.
I have to say BeautyBox Five is getting better and better each month. I thoroughly enjoyed most of these products. If your interested in BeautyBox Five its $12/month and you can subscribe on the link below

April 2012 Birchbox

Here is April's Birchbox aimed to them on Earth day as it contains samples with natural ingredients. Check out what was included:
  • Atelier Cologne: Orange Cologne- I am a big Perfume person now and I like something that has a hint of fruit smell but honestly this perfume smells like I got an orange and squeezed it on my arm. I def was not a fan of this cologne.
  • Befine: Skincare Sampler- This sample included a facial cleanser and moisturizer. The facial cleanser was mint which I already didn't like as I prefer sweeter smells. Secondly it was so watery I turned it over to squeeze some in my hands and it came rushing down in the tub. I lost most of it there. It was light but a little too light and my face didn't feel soft after I washed it off like I get with other cleansers. The moisturizer on the other hand felt light, had a light smell and looked fine over my foundation.

  • Oile Biologique: Hile Moderne- I honestly don't really use oil but it was made my skin more moisturized and soft.

  • Revolution Organics: Freedom Glow Beauty Balm- This could be applied to your checks, eyelid or lips. I prefer to use it as blush.

Here is how it looks like when you wipe I wiped it on.

But what I love about this is you can blend it in to adjust to your skin tone that way you don't have it too bright and look like a clown.

  • La Palais des Thes: Tea Bags- The last thing that came in my birchbox was tea bags. Honestly what the heck does beauty have to do with Tea? I would have def liked to see another sample instead of 2 lousy bags of tea.

All in all, I was extremely disappointed with my April Birchbox. I honestly will only use the balm. But, next month should be an awesome box as it is going to be a Gossip Girl theme. And even if you just sign up you can still sign up for this themed box next month. Want to receive 4-5 beauty samples a month for only $10/month.
