March Ipsy Bag

Evening all! Today I will be showing you what I got in the March Myglam bag.

The theme this month is Great Escapes which I am sure is saying see ya winter and hello spring and summer.

IMG_3353
The bag we got reminds me of the beach and I love it! It is a navy blue and shite striped bag with anchors on it! I really like the design and it beats the solid colors we have been getting lately!

IMG_3354
Ready to see what I got inside!!

IMG_3355

Inside my bag this month..
1.  Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist-Def not a fan of the smell. I was expecting something light and refreshing but it is far from that. Does give you that refreshing feeling though but yeah would have liked a better scent
2. La Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes They are nice and light. I heard people saying it burned there skin but I had no issues.
3. Yaby Eyeshadow Refill-When I tell you these are teeny tiny shadows they really small like smaller than a dime small.
 4. Glam RX Mini FreeStyle Palette Shadow Palette Sample-I mean a mirror is always nice but I don't see a point in this. Its kind of cheapy and yeah I dont know what I will do with it.
IMG_3356
The Glam RX box

IMG_3357
Wanted to show you how tiny the Yaby eyeshadow was

Overall, it has been a long time since I have been disappointed with the Myglam bag and yeah this stunk! I probably won't ever use the juice beauty product, the eyeshadows are too tiny, the glam RX box is too cheapy and the makeup remover wipes are probably the only thing I will use. What happened MyGlam??

Did you enjoy your bag this month?

MyGlam is a monthly sample program that delivers 4-5 beauty products in a design makeup bag that changes each month. Some items sent are samples while others are full-of right now they are sold out. Just keep checking, I waited for about a month and half before I got in.  You can subscribe to them by visiting myglam.com

Beauty Product Showdown Thursday- Blush

Happy Thursday all! Can you believe the weekend is almost here! I can't wait!!! Today's beauty product showdown and I thought it would be good to compare a drug store beauty brand vs a more expensive designer brand in Blush Showdown!

So let's get started!

IMG_3320
The contender is the Stick Blush ($6) by NYX Cosmetics

vs.....

IMG_3322
Make Up For Ever's HD Blush in #6 ($26)

IMG_3325
The HD blush comes in a lotion like bottle and the NYX blush comes in a stick (apologies this picture has them reversed)

IMG_3323
To use the NYX stick blush you simply draw a line across your cheek bone and then blend it in. It has good pigmentation and you can either add more color to it or blend it in more to make it lighter. But, while the color is great at first by the end of the day you don't have much left.

For the HD Blush, you squeeze a button size amount onto your arm and I like to make little dots across my face. The texture is super creamy so its really easy to blend. Do NOT add alot because this blush is extremely pigmented!!! A little goes a long way for this! You def get really good coverage as well.

After testing and comparing this products for over a week hands down

the winner is..

Make Up For Ever HD Blush

Although the NYX is more affordable I would def splurge to get the HD cream bc it has amazing pigmentation, lasts for a long time and overall I love the consistency of it! My sister even tried it out the other day when I was home and raved about it! You know she wished I would ACCIDENTLY have left it there when I left! I really wanted to like the NYX bc its a really cool package and convenient but I just didn't like that longeivity of the product. But def if your on a budget just re-touch it up often!

March Nail Art Society Bag

Here it is the March Nail Art Society Box. Not really sure if there was a theme but it def included a lot of decals.

Want to see what I got?

IMG_3350
One thing I do appreciate about each month's bag is that they give you ideas on how to make looks with the things you receive in the bag.

IMG_3351
Here is what I got in this months box: Some nail polish strips. They are black and white stripes. Not a big fan of strips but thats okay.

IMG_3352
Here is the other things I got: little orange circle decals, caviar beads, like 10 orange circles and flowers.

Personally I am not a fan of the flowers, oranges or orange decals as I just don't feel like they would stay on my hands long enough and my top coat will look ugly with a thick coat over the items. Caviar beads are not bad in fact they look cute on an accent finger but again they won't stay on too long bc you aren't supposed to put a top coat over them.

I am extremely disappointed in this Month's bag as I was last month but probably worse here. Honestly the cost of all the stuff in this bag is probably like $2. I feel its def not even worth $10 let alone $20 which is what most pay for this months bag.  In the last two months bag I have gotten nothing that even remotely comes close to great. I also really don't like how they have pictures of nice nail brands like Butter London and Deborah Lippmann polishes when the only polish I have gotten is Finger Paints. Completely dissatisfied and I already cancelled my subscription to try another beauty subscription! So onto the bigger and better things hopefully!

What do you think of this months box??

Hard Candy New Polish Collections

I am sure everyone has seen the Hard Candy Polishes at your local Walmart! But have you been wondering how some of them look on? Well guess what today is your lucky day! I got some polishes from each collection to swatch! Got polishes to review form Hard Candy from the Crushed Chrome, Itsy Glitzy, Crystal Confetti, Glitteratzi, and Candy Sprinkles Collection!

IMG_3185
The four polishes I got are from the Crushed Chrome and Itsy Glitzy Collection is #633 Little Hottie, 624 Pinch of Spice, #628 Crushed on Raisin and #622 Crush on Pink

IMG_3187
From the Itzy Glitzy Collection, Lottie Hottie is a strawberry red color. It is shimmery and a perfect summer color!

IMG_3369
Pinch of Spice is a shimmery tangerine orange color. I am by all means not a orange color kind of girl but this color looks pretty good on brown skin tone

IMG_3381
From the Crushed chrome collection, Crush on Raisin is a metallic purple color. Kind of reminds of aluminum foil but with color. Really like these!

IMG_3379
Crush on pink is another metallic pink polish. Yeah I def am a fan of the Crushed chrome collection! They look nice!

IMG_3396
The Sprinkles collection features colors with circle glitter in it. today I have #664 Gummy Green and #660 Cocoa Smore

IMG_3377
Cocoa Smore reminds me of cookies and creme it is a beige color with black and white colored glitter in it

IMG_3373
Gummy green is a light mint green color with black and white glitter in it. I really like the color on my skin tone.

IMG_3394
From the Crystal Confetti and Glitteratzi collection we have #670 Glamour girl, #652 Jubilee, #653 Hip Hop Hooray and #667 So So sequin

IMG_3388
Glamour girl is a light pink metallic and glitter color. I had to put 3 coats to get complete coverage but its a really cute color.

IMG_3384
Jubilee is a green color with silver big hex glitter, small black hex glitter and red bar glitter. Kind of reminds me of a jungle color like Tarzan lol. You def need 3 coats for this one as well

IMG_3393
Hip Hop Hooray is a light purple color with blue and silver hex glitter in it. I didn't get complete coverage with even three coats of this polish.

IMG_3391
So So sequin is the last polish I have for you today and its a light pink with holographic glitter and blue glitter in it. For this one I felt like the holographic was the star of the show and it was really hard to see the blue glitter in this.

Overall, if I had to choose my favorite two collections hands down I would pick the Candy sprinkles and crushed chrome collection! I loved how they came out and the different colors they had! But there is so many more colors that are available in all of these collections so someone can def find some colors perfect for them! Best of all they are only 3.97 each!!

Beauty Product Showdown Thursday-Face

Hey all! I know I missed out on last weeks Beauty Product showdown! I think I will have it every other week as its really hard to compare two products in a week.

This weeks Beauty Product Showdown theme is Face in and particular BB Cream!

Been trying to find a good BB cream? Well today I compare two popular Drug store brands!

So let's get started

IMG_3358
This weeks showdown features BB cream by Maybelline ($6-7)

IMG_3359
And Loreal BB Cream ($10.95)
IMG_3360
Serving as an 8:1 skin protector the BB Cream by Maybelline aims to blur inperfections, brighten and evens skin tone, hydrates, enhances, smoothes, has SPF 30 protection and has 0% oils and heavy ingredients. The color I got here is medium sheer. It is extremely light, does not oily my face and most importantly does not break me out! I apply it before foundation and love the coverage it gives.

IMG_3361
Note the moisturizing effect it has on my skin. It blends very well but I wanted to show you how it looks on my skin tone so I did not completely blend it well in this photo.

IMG_3362
The Loreal BB Cream on the other hand has only 4 tasks to hydrate, prime, perfect and correct. As you can see here it is a white color with little beads in it that will tranform to meet your shade. This is the Light shade.

IMG_3364
When blended in you can see its def moisturizes less than Maybelline. And I used this quite a few times and felt like after I applied my foundation my face looked more cakey than usual. I thought maybe I put too much concealer over the BB cream to cover up my pores on my nose but I seen I got this look everytime.

Overall, if I had to chose a winner hands down it would be Maybelline BB Cream. Love how light it is on the face, how it moisturizes my skin, and most importantly I don't break out when I use it! Oh and offers more benefits for the skin (8) as opposed to the Loreal BB Cream (4). Plus its a lot cheaper than Loreal! Before I tried these products I had heard that Maybelline was everyone's favorite and now I see why!

The winner of the Beauty Product Showdown is....

Maybelline BB Cream!!

Studio Gear Cosmetics

I have always wanted to try some products from Studio Gear Cosmetics. So when I was got the opportunity to review some of the most popularist products of theirs I jumped on it quick.

Today I will be reviewing an eyeshadow, face primer and mascara!

IMG_3286
The first product is a 3:1 Harmonic Eyeshadow Palette
IMG_3290
Containing a contour, highlight and accent color this 3:1 shadow has colors that when combined will give your a perfect look

IMG_3295
There is a darker brown for the crease, lighter brown for the base lid and a lighter brown/beige for the under eyebrow area

IMG_3291
The second product I tried was the SPF-20 face primer. This light non greasy primer works to balance and protect the skin from environmental stress while helping to diminish fine lines and wrinkles

IMG_3292
The last product I tried was the Impact Full Pro LTS mascara

IMG_3294
The brush looked nice and fluffy!

IMG_3340
I am so sorry that tiny part of my bangs came out but what can you so. to the left contains the Impact full mascara that was simply applied (did NOT curl lashes prior or after application) and my normal lashes. I do have long lashes but they are normally flat and lets just say I need a good volumizing mascara to get the job done.

IMG_3348
Here is after application of the mascara on both eyelashes.

IMG_3347
Here is my overall look using the 3:1 shadow with the lighter beige underneath the eyebrows, the medium brown on the base and the darker brown on the crease. When used with a primer the shadows lasted well.

Overall, if I had to pick my favorite product it would be the mascara hands down! I didn't think I would get much length let alone volume but my lashes look amazing! The applicator puts mascara on great with little/no clumps! My second favorite was the eyeshadows. I liked how well they go together to create my look and they are pretty pigmented. Well I thought the face primer was good for SPF coverage I am not sure about the diminishing of fine line and wrinkles as I have neither yet so I really can't conclude on if it worked. But I did not break out or anything when using it.

Make Up for Ever Camoflauge Palette

Dark spots? Blemishes? Acne? Looking for a new cream concealer? Check out the 5-Cream Camoflauge palette I got to review from Make Up For Ever.

There are 5 different palettes offered by Make Up For Ever including one for: European skin, Asian skin, Mixed Skin, black Skin and a Professional make up artist one with 5 main corrective shades.

IMG_3130
I chose the palette for black skin because I felt the colors were closest to mine.

IMG_3131
As you can see the colors start off light to the left and as you work your way to the right they go to medium brown

IMG_3132
Then towards the end you get darker brown.

IMG_3108
As you can see this palette has a variety of brown shades. Think your somewhere in the middle of any of these two shades? No problem!

IMG_3111
Simply mix around browns to achieve your skin tone. Or the makeup artist mixed all the colors together and got a really good brown color for me!

Overall, coverage is well! Covered my nose with the nasty little blackheads and under eyes lol! I look so sleepy now a days! And its matte and doesn't leave you shiny! Def in my makeup bag now and using it daily!

Price $38
Where to find: Any where Make Up For Ever is Sold

Urban Decay Great and Powerful Oz Glinda Palette

It took long enough but at last here is the Glinda Palette from the Great and Powerful Oz. I wasn't going to buy it at first because I didn't think the light colors would look good on me but when Ulta had their F&F sale I gave in.

IMG_2945
Just like the Theodora palette the Glinda palette comes in this extremely durable tin case. The case looks so magical and like a princess that I can see why people like it.

IMG_2947
The colors that come in here at light dark and most of all sparkly! From the top row L to R: Tornado, Aura and Magic. Bottom L to R: Illusion, Oz and South. Eye pencil in Purple.

IMG_3113
Tornado is a plum purple color with a hint of shimmer in it. Good color for smokey eyes or in the crease.
Aura is the half/half shadow that has a light white that has an iredescent shimmer to it and a light pink with iradescent in it also. These colors can be used for the eyebrow area, base for the lid or at the tip of the inner eyelid
Magic is a soft rose pink color that would be a perfect base color or perfect for the inner lid.
IMG_3115
Illusion is a light coral/natural color that would be a perfect base lid color or for the eyebrow area
Oz has two crazy metallic colors in it. The first is a copper color and the other is a crazy silver metallic color
South is a smokey green/brown metallic color.

IMG_3281
The eyeliner included in this palette is a purple one

IMG_3282
It's pretty dark and has a metallic finish to it
IMG_2950
The Super-saturated color that came in this palette is Glinda a pigmented natural beige color

IMG_2952
Perfect color to wear to work. Only adds a hint of color to your lips

IMG_3308
Here is one of the looks I created using the Glinda palette. I used illusion for the base, Aura on the inner lid, hint of Magic at the outer eye and Tornado on the crease

IMG_3306
Another look I created which turned out amazing I used the silver part of Oz on the entire base and the gold in the inner lid and did the crease with south. I am in love with this look!

Overall I was very impressed with the palette. Thought the light colors wouldn't look good with my skin tone but I created some really nice looks with it!

Did you get the Glinda or Theodora palette?

Which do you like better??
